The day started with a nice downhill section from the hotel, then got somewhat damp and cooler.
Once we left the E6, traffic quietened down and the road followed a winding river down to sea level.
We stopped for our first “proper” touring lunch at a petrol station – pølse und Cola! 🙂
The bridge across the Saltstraumen offered views to the maelstrom below, always a spectacle worth watching for a while.
Our hotel was a bit posh, the highlight being the spa with saunas (Finnish and infrared) and a great jacuzzi, where we were the only guests enjoying the relaxing heat and the massage jets for our slightly sore muscles.
I thought the dinner was a little too portion-controlled, but quite tasty. The beer was very refreshing and well deserved, if I say so myself.
