We awoke to beautiful sunshine, but quickly realised that the hills were pretty chilly, so we used a bit of muscle power to get warm.
We made it to Gol for a spot of shopping (a new water bottle to replace one that didn’t make the grade) and slightly disappointing pulled pork burgers.
We were glad we had the calories, though, the climb up from Gol was quite something, with plenty of switchbacks.
All in all, this was nearly a rest day with only 80-odd km and a moderate amount of elevation. The hotel was plagued with a coach load of Germans, but otherwise very enjoyable. And it was wash day again.
