The day started with a nice downhill section from the hotel, then got somewhat damp and cooler.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Once we left the E6, traffic quietened down and the road followed a winding river down to sea level. <\/p>\n

We stopped for our first “proper” touring lunch at a petrol station – p\u00f8lse und Cola! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The bridge across the Saltstraumen offered views to the maelstrom below, always a spectacle worth watching for a while.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Our hotel was a bit posh, the highlight being the spa with saunas (Finnish and infrared) and a great jacuzzi, where we were the only guests enjoying the relaxing heat and the massage jets for our slightly sore muscles.<\/p>\n

I thought the dinner was a little too portion-controlled, but quite tasty. The beer was very refreshing and well deserved, if I say so myself.<\/p>\n
